Happy Holidays Sunbeamers!
It’s been waaaaay too long since we’ve had an update for you, however for now we would just like to reach out with a quick holiday greeting. (Stay tuned for a full 'year in review' update coming in the New Year!)
We are officially all closed up after the fall season, but with this mild weather, we were actually able to keep our non-winterized cottages open far longer than usual. There is not the same demand once Thanksgiving weekend concludes, (which also falls relatively close to when the Walleye season closes on October 15 yearly), however Pike and Musky stay open until November 30 and we do get some diehards willing to brave the elements!
Although we have not managed to update our news page here on the website throughout the season, there certainly was more than our fair share of news and improvements worth sharing with all of you. You can expect to see our regular year-end letter in late January/early February - we’ll be sending it out along with confirmation details for those of you who have rebooked, and it will be posted here on the website. That letter will provide a nice recap of the season, detailing some work done along the way, photos, and some news for next year!
Ice fishing is right around the corner, starting January 1, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for some colder weather and snow. All weekends in January are booked up, however there is still availability mid-week, and there’s plenty of availability in February, which is always the more sought-after winter month, due to ice and snow conditions being pretty much a ‘sure thing’ by then.
